The Thousand Who Take Back Ottawa

Are You One of The Thousand?
The Thousand are a group of residents who love Ottawa, expect better than what we are getting, and are prepared to do something about it.
We need change in this city, and 1,000 committed individuals can deliver it. We can defeat the political machine that’s been running Ottawa for far too long.
Being one of The Thousand means reaching out to friends, family and neighbours, and get engaging them in a campaign of change around the issues they care about. It means extending a hand to the different groups and communities that you are a part of, and inviting them in to build a better Ottawa.
Being one of The Thousand might even mean taking on a special role — such as onboarding volunteers, managing events, leading fundraising or even running a campaign unlike anything this city has ever seen.
Not everyone will do all of this, but everyone in The Thousand does something.
Someone to take on the establishment
We need a credible challenger to Mark Sutcliffe. He has incumbency and the backing of Ottawa’s power brokers. We have the power of people.

I’m Neil Saravanamuttoo. I’m an economist and a community organizer.
I’m ready to put my name forward to be the candidate that takes on the establishment.
To win, our candidate has to be a fighter, someone trusted by the people doing the work, and able to reach across different communities.
Vote splitting is a real concern, but we can avoid it. Those already in the race haven’t demonstrated yet that they can take us across the finish line. At this point, we need as many good candidates as possible to come forward, and let the people decide who is best to lead the opposition.
Will you support me?
Signing up doesn’t commit you to anything beyond staying in the conversation.
