People’s Summit 2025
Returning this October
The Ottawa People’s Summit launched in May at the Impact Hub. A packed house of close to one hundred active and engaged residents came out to get involved in building people power in their communities.
The Summit welcomed a wide variety of exhibitors who represented diverse groups who are working hard to make Ottawa a better place. It featured several “Community Victories”, where organizations and individuals outlined successful initiatives. The Summit also included a live taping of the Better Ottawa Municipal Panel, answering questions on pressing municipal topics.
The Launch was only the beginning. We will be back for a larger Summit this fall to build people power ahead of the 2026 municipal election.
We’ll open registration for the October event shortly.

People Power in action

We’re building people power in Ottawa.
The Summit launches several “Action Groups” where attendees organized around critical issues including transit, developer influence at City Hall, combating Lansdowne 2.0 and growing food in their communities.
We invite you to stay tuned to the community by joining our WhatsApp channel from the link below.
We Are the City
Individually, we often have a hard time making change. But individually, we do have resources, whether that is time and energy, some extra money, networks or our vote.
Building people is about turning our individual resources into collective power.
Please consider donating to the People’s Summit to help support the movement and the launch of a larger Summit this fall.

What Others are Saying
The Ottawa Citizen had a glowing review of the People’s Summit, identifying the event for what it was: “we’ll look back on this time as when people power was born.”
“When a community decides to get organized, it can leverage all those bits and pieces of time and resources and reach big goals.“
Now is when the people of Ottawa take back City Hall. That’s why we’re building people power.
